Girls Varsity Bowling takes 3rd at EK Kick Off

The Lady Rams Bowling team had a good day at the East Kentwood Kick Off Invitational. They bowled well in qualifying with two solid team games and then back it up with good performances in the Baker portion of the event to take the number one seed going into match play by over 300 pins over the second place Caledonia team. However, in the semi finals, the girls ran into split issues and just left too many unfilled frames that cost them the match against archrival Grand Haven 292-282. The ladies were paced by Junior Sofia DeLuccia and Sophomore Kristen Chapman, both of whom made the All Tournament team. Other strong performances from Juniors Kyla Chapman, Alyx Niedermayer and October Bishop all contributed to the strong team performance. Next up is a date against Greenville on Monday at their home house of Hot Spot Lanes. Let's try to keep the improvements happening and continue to set ourselves up for the pre-conference tournament this coming Friday.
