Girls Varsity Bowling defeats Greenville 23-7

The girls varsity bowling team notched their second win of the season over Greenville on Monday 23-7. Thanks to a big start in the Baker games (220-184) the ladies built a 10-0 lead going into the team games. Junior Alyx Niedermayer led the way in shooting 183 in game one and the ladies grabbed 8 of the 9 points in that game. Game two got a little sloppy with a slow start in the early frames but the girls still managed to collect 3 points there and took the team totals for an additional 2 points to get to the 23 they needed to win the match. I am proud of how hard they are working this early part of the season but we have a lot of things to clean up and improve on if we want to contend for conference honors again this season. Next up is the pre-conference tournament this Friday out in Muskegon. We will learn a lot by the end of the week for sure about where we stand in the OK Red.
