Girls Varsity Bowling rolled into Hudsonville Lanes on Wednesday to face the ladies from Hudsonville in an OK Red conference match. They got things off with a great start shooting 201 in the first Baker game, our high Baker game for the season, but stumbled a bit in game two but still scored enough to win that game and take a 10-0 lead going into the team games. The team really struggled during the team game portion but somehow managed to earn 17 of the 20 points available to win the match 27-3. Performances from Junior Kyla Chapman (186), Junior Sofia DeLuccia (180) and Junior October Bishop (154-157) contributed to the win tonight. Next up is a match against last years state champion, Grandville, on Monday at Rockford Lanes. This will be a must win for our ladies as they look to stay in the hunt for yet another conference championship.
