The Lady Rams Bowling team faced another tough opponent on Wednesday as they squared off against conference leader Grandville. The Baker games started slow with Grandville taking game one 170-161 but the girls came back in game two 144-131 to win totals and take a 6-4 lead into the team games. The team games saw the ladies step it up huge. Game one was the highest score we have shot this year with a 972 and game two was nearly as nice with a 888 score that allowed the team to take 18 of the 20 points and win the meet 24-6. The team was led once again by a terrific performance from Junior Kyla Chapman as she continued her great bowling with game of 243 and 217. She had lots of help though as Junior Sofia DeLuccia rolled 228 and 208 and Sophomore Kristen Chapman, while nursing a bad knee, contributed 209 and 175. Junior Alyx Niedermayer showed her consistency, while nursing her bad knee, with 161 and 164. This win puts the girls into second place in the conference with a match against the leader Grand Haven next Wednesday. Next up is the Greenville Invitational on Saturday and then two home matches on Monday and Wednesday against Zeeland and Grand Haven.
