The Varsity girls picked up a big conference win tonight. A tremendous 2nd half pushed the Rams to victory after only leading 6-5 at the half. The Rams outscored the Rangers 7 to 2 in the 3rd quarter to extend the lead by 6 goals heading into the last quarter. The Rams added another 5 goals and went on to win 18-11. The defense played really strong throughout the game making FHC work for every shot. Offensively the Rams were led by several players. Ava Wekenman finished with 5 goals and an assist, Brooke Gordon and Avery Maag both contributed 4 goals, Ella Larva added a hat trick as well with an assist and Kiah Kruisenga had an outstanding game with two goals and 3 assists. Juniors Lyla Vogt and Payten Davis had very strong defensive games and were instrumental in our transition game. Sophomore Mia Mabry had another very strong game in net making 5 saves.
