The Rockford Rams girls tennis team continued their dominant stretch through OK Red conference play with a commanding 10-0 sweep over the East Kentwood Falcons, showcasing depth, discipline, and relentless focus in their third conference match of the season. Coming off an incredibly demanding stretch, playing their sixth match in just six days, the Rams showed no signs of fatigue. Instead, they delivered one of their most complete performances of the year, controlling nearly every court from the first serve to match point. Singles play set the tone early, as Rockford’s lineup overwhelmed their opponents with precision and confidence. At #1 singles, Grace Ferry was nearly flawless, earning a decisive 6-0, 6-0 victory. Sophie Burns followed suit at #2 with an equally dominant 6-0, 6-0 performance. Ella Fix kept the momentum rolling at #3, also securing a shutout win, while freshman Lilly Bajema battled through a competitive match at #4 to win 6-1, 6-3 and complete the singles sweep. The Rams’ doubles lineup continued the onslaught, demonstrating both chemistry and consistency across all six flights. Carlie Wegener and Sadie Debski led the way at #1 doubles with a strong 6-1, 6-4 win, while Sienna Maag and Vanessa Rollenhagen delivered an impressive 6-1, 6-0 performance at #2. Evian Lund and Addyson Schad handled business at #3, and Aubrey Rosebery with Chloe Elizondo added another convincing win at #4. Depth proved to be a major strength for Rockford, as the #5 and #6 doubles teams closed out the sweep in dominant fashion. Kate Coyle and Evelyn Schwander controlled their match at #5, while Lillina Russell and Leah Stoddard capped off the day with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory at #6. From top to bottom, the Rams displayed a business-like approach, combining aggressive play with mental toughness. Even in the midst of a packed schedule, the team remained sharp and focused, a testament to their preparation and commitment. With this sweep, Rockford continues to build momentum in the always-competitive OK Red conference.
