ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Boys Track & Field team claimed Runner-Up honors at the OK Red Conference Championships hosted by East Kentwood on Friday. The host Falcons won the conference title. The Rams posted numerous personal records on the day and were Conference Champions in three events. The 4X800 Relay started the track events winning with a pesonal best time of 7:58.26. The relay team was composed of Noah Watson, Charlie Gavan, Chase Neal and Josiah Derksen. The 4X200 Relay of Dante Escondo, Giacomo Fiorletta, Charlie Cullum and Owen Holt posted a season best performance while hitting the State Finals Early Qualifying Standard in winning with a 1:27.71. Charlie Thornton was Confernece Champion in the High Jump with a leap of 6'3". Amongst the other numerous highlights was Dante Escondo racing to a State Finals Early Qualifying Standard in the 100 dash when he raced a 10.83, which earned him third place amongst the fast field of 100 athletes.
