ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Rams had to work hard in this game to come away with a 1-0 victory. Hudsonville came to play and it took a great effort by the Rams to hold on. The Rams outshot the Eagles 22-2 but the Eagles defense and goaltending was up to the task. Rockford's Luna Mitchell would find the back of the goal midway through the 2nd period on a nice feed from Kenzie Madura. That is all the Rams would need to come away with a win. The defense, led by Maddie Unger, Libby Zink and Maddie Paul had an outstanding day, limiting Hudsonville to just two shots on goal. Goalie Jordin Woods had a fantastic day and came up with an amazing save on a breakaway to preserve the shutout. The Rams return to action this upcoming weekend when they face some of the toughest competition of the season. They will be playing in the Great Lakes Regional Showcase at Dexter High School both Friday and Saturday. They will face two very tough teams from Illinois and then finish Saturday playing one of the toughest teams in Michigan - Saline High School.
