ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

Ram’s Cross Country team raced to a Runner-Up finish at the Under the Lights Invitational hosted by GR South Christian. The invitational had four racing divisions. The Rams, who are ranked 6th in Division 1, raced in the Starlight Division which had 14 teams. The Rams fell to the Grand Rapids Track Club and defeated OK Red foes Grand Haven and West Ottawa in addtion to the rest of the field. Senior Daisy Cox led the Rams with a 4th place finish while Juniors Jillian Lewakowski and Keagan Mulka were the next two Rams in 8th and 15th place. Seniors Reese and Rae Defrang were the next two Rams finishing in 35th and 36th place to finish the scoring. Juniors Claire Watson and Morgan Sanders were additional Rams that had medaling performances by finishing in 39th and 44th. Medals were awarded to top 50 finishers. The race was completed by 266 runners. The next race for the Rams will be the OK RED Conference Jamboree #1 hosted at East Rockford Middle School on Tuesday, September 15th with racing starting at 4:30. Go Rams!
