ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Rams raced to incredible times at the loaded Ottawa Hills Invite on Friday evening hosted at Riverside Park. Rockford took 5th place with the top three spots going to the top three ranked teams in Division 1….Traverse City West, Jenison and Lowell and Honorable Mention Grand Ledge in fourth. The field featured twenty three teams. The varsity race saw nine of the 10 Rams race to lifetime best performances. Senior Josiah Derksen continued his excellent season in placing 7th for the Rams in a PR of 15:40. Junior Luke Bultman crossed the line in 22nd with a PR time of 15:58. Senior Noah Watson claimed 28th place next for the Rams while fellow Senior Charlie Gavan placed 50th in a PR performance of 16:47. Sophomore James Hollebeek completed the team score with his 52nd place finish in a PR time of 16:51. Completing the varsity racing was Rhy Schnieder in 16:59(PR), Dylan McKinney in 17:12(PR), Addison Duffendach in 17:18(PR) and Sean Bostwick in 18:17(PR). The JV race saw Personal Best or Season Best out of 16 of the 18 Rams. Sophomore Bendan McAuliffe led the way placing 13th with a Season Best time of 17:49.
