ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The 6th ranked Rams Girls Varsity Cross Country team raced to a 4th place team finish out of 36 teams that featured four top 10 ranked teams in Michigan and two top ranked teams from Ohio and Indiana at the Jackson Invite Saturday morning. Senior Daisy Cox led the Rams with a medaling effort of 7th place. Juniors Jillian Lewakowski and Keagan Mulka were the next two scoring Rams in 29th and 32nd place respectively. Mulka raced to a new lifetime best of 18:59 in breaking 19:00 for the first time. Senior Sarah Macintosh was the next scoring Ram when she raced a new personal record in a time of 19:49 which earned her 75th place. Junior Morgan Sanders completed the scoring with an 88th place finish. Other Rams that raced were Rae Defrang placing 90th, Claire Watson in 103rd, Reese Defrang in 122nd, Kyra Shaver in 140th and Quinn Wildern in 211th. The Rams will race on Wednesday, September 30 in the OK Red Jamboree #2 hosted by Hudsonville HS. Course location is the 5/6 Building @ Georgetown; 8175 36th Avenue, Hudsonville, MI 49426 with Boys starting at 4:45 and Girls starting at 5:30.
