ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The JV team played possibly their best game of the season and avenged an early season loss with a 6-0 victory over Spring Lake. On a night where we were playing for something greater than the game, raising awareness and hoping to raise some money for Anni's Army Foundation, the Rams didn't disappoint. The Rams jumped to a 2-0 lead after goals from Sadie Ferwerda (assist by Samantha Jennings) and Avery Wright. The Rams were able to extend that lead just before halftime on a goal by Samantha Jennings putting the Rams up 3-0 at half. Samantha Jennings got the Rams going in the 2nd half when she scored her 2nd goal of the game, set up by a nice pass from Lilia Melendez. The Rams weren't done yet despite the 4 -0 lead to end the 3rd quarter. Ella Oldenburg and Azalia Einfeld each scored in the fourth quarter to put the Rams up 6-0 which would end up as the final score. This group of young ladies had an outstanding season and after watching this last game, they really demonstrated their best field hockey at the end of the season. Super excited to see this group back next year!
