ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Boys Varsity and JV Cross Country each raced to Runner-Up team finishes in Allendale Saturday morning. The Varsity men narrowly missed winning the meet by a single point to the Grand Rapids Track Club in a field of 17 teams. The Varsity Ram effort was led by Seniors Josiah Derksen and Noah Watson with finishes of 4th and 8th place. Junior Luke Bultman crossed the line next in 11th place. Sophomore James Hollebeek raced to a 20th place finish with Freshman Gabe Miller scoring the final points for the Rams in 22nd place. Finishing the top 7 was Senior Charlie Gavan and Junior Rhy Schneider in 24th and 25th place. Schneider and Senior Addison Duffendach raced new personal best times when they cross the line in 16:56 and 17:09 respectively. The Junior Varsity race was led by Sophomore Dawson Wiggernman finishing in 4th place. Close behind were Juniors Brendan McAuliffe and Corbin Cummings in 5th and 7th place. Cummings raced to a new personal best time of 18:22. Senior Sean Bostwick was a step behind placing 8th while Freshman Camden McKay completed the scoring when he cross the finish line in 10th place.
