ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Rams would not be denied their 10th victory of the season especially on Senior night. The Rams prevailed 4-0 on a very nice cool night, perfect for field hockey. After a scoreless tie at the end of the 1st quarter, the Rams would get it rolling in the 2nd quarter when Isabelle Schubert redirected a shot from Avery Maag into the goal. Pinckney did not manage a lot of shots in goal in this game but one very good shot came in the second quarter but Goalie Jordin Woods would make a great save to keep the Rams up 1-0. The Rams had some decent scoring opportunities but could not manage a second goal and would go into half time leading 1-0. The 3rd quarter was a different story and the Rams came out on fire putting tremendous pressure on the Pinckney defense. The Rams got off several shots before one shot that appeared to be going in was stopped by a Pinckney Defenders body. This created a Penalty Stroke for the Rams. Luna Mitchell lined up the penalty and found the top right corner to give the Rams a 2-0 lead. The Ram offensive pressure would keep coming in the 4th quarter. Mitchell would score her 2nd goal of the game to make it 3-0 and then a few minutes later Ella Oldenburg would put this game away when she would score making it 4-0 Rams. This game was a great team effort and once again the team defense applied by all, never let Pinckney get any momentum. The Rams now await the Playoff selection. The Brackets will be announced on Friday October 9th.
