ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Rams raced to a Runner-Up OK Red Conference finish on Thursday evening at Riverside Park. The Rams lost to the Hudsonville Ealges by 9 points; 47 to 56. The Rams 56 points defeated Grand Haven who had 62, West Ottawa with 79, East Kentwood who had 116 and Grandville who ended with 137. Senior stand-out Daisy Cox led the Rams charge with a 2nd place finish when she raced the course in 17:46.3. This performance made it a perfect 4 years of earning OK Red All-Conference honors. Junior Keagan Mulka was next for the Rams with a 6th place finish from her Lifetime Best performance of 18:42.6, good for All-Conference honors as well. Mulka's performance moved her up 10 places in Rockford School history to now being the 27th fastest Ram. The next three Rams each earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors and finished the scoring for Rockford. Seniors Reese and Rae Defrang crossed the line in 15th and 16th place with Junior Claire Watson close behind in 17th place. Reese Defrang raced a Personal Record time of 19:29.5, her first time breaking 20:00 minutes. Rae Defrang raced a Season Best time of 19:30.4 an improvement by just over 22 seconds. Watson broke 20:00 minutes for the first time as well by racing a new Personal Best time of 19:37.6. Juniors Kyra Shaver and Sadie Plain finished the varsity racing for Rockford with places of 30th and 32nd.
