Girls Swim & Dive Defeat Hudsonville, Complete Conference Sweep

The Rockford Girls Swim & Dive program completed their sweep of the OK-RED Conference regular season Thursday night after taking down Hudsonville 197-117. The Senior Night victory completes the second OK-RED sweep in two years, and extends the Rams' dual/tri meet win streak to 13. The Rams recorded 5 season bests and 24 personal bests on the night, while the seniors recorded 15 top-three finishes in their final career conference dual meet. For the second year in a row, the Rockford Rams will head into the Conference championship meet as regular season champions, scoring 8 points towards the OK-RED Conference championship, followed by Hudsonville (5-1) with 7, Grand Haven (3-2) with 6, Grandville (2-3) with 5, West Ottawa (1-4) with 4, and East Kentwood (0-5) with 3. Teams will now vie for points at the conference championship meet, following the same scoring system as the regular season standings. The younger Rams will be returning to the water this weekend for the 7th Annual Freshman/Sophomore Invitational on Saturday, October 25 at City Middle/High School. Diving begins at 8:45 AM, followed by swimming at 12:00 PM. Then every swimmer and diver will return to the water for one final dual meet on Thursday 10/30 when East Grand Rapids comes to town.
